PlayFab supports player authentication and in-app purchase via Valve’s Steam. Completing an in-app purchase using Steam for payments is a three step process. First, you set up the purchase in your game. Then, you notify Steam. It pops up the Steam overlay to make the purchase. Once complete, it gives your client a token. Your client then tells PlayFab, and PlayFab checks back with Steam to do the final verification. Only then does PlayFab credit the player’s account with the item (or currency) purchased.
How it Works
After you setup your game in Valve’s developer portal, you will be given an App ID and secret key. Install this integration, then fill in those fields. PlayFab will use this information to authenticate players and complete purchases.
